Job Description

Julienne isn't just a pretty name to you. Searing and sautéing are your thing. And most importantly, you aren't scared of Crocs. As a cook, you'll be able to translate beautiful kitchen messes into beautiful plated meals. You're fluent in ingredients and have an MBA in multitasking (relax, not an actual MBA). Whatever technical experience you have is welcomed, but don't shy away if you simply know your way around a grill.

Responsibilities

  • Putting up dishes from your station in a timely manner
  • Putting up dishes from your station in a timely manner
  • Organize and stock station throughout service
  • Ability to execute recipes accurately, and train the kitchen staff to do the same
  • Familiar with reading ticket, making sure each station accurately produces food in a timely manner
  • Regularly communicate with the leadership positions
  • Assist the kitchen management team with educating applicants on our culture and expectations
  • Support the managers by making sure policies and procedures are upheld.
  • Help with training
  • Help execute equipment maintenance and cleaning schedules.
  • Assist the KM and AKM to execute, coach and manage daily line checks, prep lists, par sheets, pull thaws and HACCP logs.
  • Provide constructive feedback to all team members during the shifts you are running.
  • Assist the Kitchen Manager with in directing the setting of prep pars to maximize productivity.
  • Participate in the cross training of kitchen positions among the staff.

About Las Palmas Cantina

Las Palmas is a tropical Mexican restaurant and bar featuring chef driven coastal food and a cocktail program featuring tequila, mezcal and rum to open in downtown Chandler in May of 2018. We will be dinner only w/ brunch on the weekends. Full time applicants w/ brunch availability is desired. We are searching for a team who has experience in high volume restaurants with a full cocktail program and from scratch kitchen.

Competitive applicants will have a passion and strong inclination for TEAMWORK with experience at a high-volume full service restaurant.
