Job Description

As a dishwasher, you will be responsible for cleaning all prep equipment, silverware, glassware and dishes according to sanitation requirements. You'll be responsible for keeping the dish pit orgranized and assist the kitchen in keeping the line and prep areas organized and clean. Your pace is critical to turning tables, so a strong work ethic is key to success.

Responsibilities

• *** About the Position ***
• Rumi's Kitchen is currently seeking high-energy staff members to join our kitchen team at our soon-to-open Mount Vernon Square location. Dishwashers are responsible for keeping our shifts flowing by maintaining plates, glassware and kitchen equipment and also perform simple recipe prep.
• Operate dishwasher
• Look out for and report repair needs
• Wash glassware by hand when necessary
• Empty and clean trash and recycling bins
• Rotate dishes
• Clean dish storage
• Assist kitchen staff as needed
• Both morning and evening shifts will be available, and typically last 6-8 hours.

• We are searching for motivated, friendly individuals who will thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Restaurant experience is not necessary! Paid training will last approximately one week.
