Job Description
The Pastry cook will be responsible for overseeing daily operations of the pastry department and coaching staff on a wide variety of techniques and skills. Your skill in baking should be matched by your creativity to innovate and create new product offerings.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain quality of all product and presentation
- Oversee all aspects of the daily operation of pastry production areas
- Receive, check and properly store all incoming product
- Know and comply with all sanitation standards
- Schedule pastry and bread production based on business needs and communicate to staff
- Prepare reports as needed - including payroll and scheduling
- Review vendor pricing structures and adjust product as needed
- Operate, teach and supervise safe operation of all appliances and equipment
- Handle conflict resolution of guests and staff as needed
