Job Description
As sous chef, you'll play an integral role in the management of daily kitchen operations. Your creativity and development of menu items will help drive menu innovation. You will assist in inventory and ordering and focus on quality control to maximize profits. You will have the opportunity to learn many skills that can lead to advancement. 19+ per hour based on experience. Paid vacation & much more!
Responsibilities
- • 3+ years as line cook, sous chef, BOH cook position.
- Assist head chef & additional sous chef in preparation of food
- Oversee each plate prior to serving
- Fill in for head chef/additional sous chef when needed
- Solve kitchen issues as they arise
- Order kitchen supplies for stocking inventory
- Comply with sanitation and safety standards.
- • Experience with ordering, inventory and other BOH managerial duties is strongly preferred.
- • The ability to interpret and manage recipes to ensure compliance / minimize waste.
- • An excellent attention to time/detail.
- • Positive attitude and willingness to cooperate with others is a MUST.
- • Cook on the line, learn all positions & lead by example.
- • Oversee team members and delegate duties to be accomplished during that shift.
- Train new employees and provide ongoing training to current employees.
