Job Description

The Head Baker oversees all functions for baking for the company, ensuring Val's recipe standards are upheld at all locations. The person in this position will supervise, train and develop all bakers, as well as partnering with the General Manager to ensure the quality of product and manage supply costs. Additionally, the Head Baker is responsible for maintaining equipment as well as developing and nurturing relationships with vendors. Several other duties will be further outlined during the interview process, and a base knowledge of baking and kitchen practices will be expected upon initial meet.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a detailed account of inventory, par list, and shopping schedule
• Define a clear baking schedule and set of expectations per shift
• Oversee the baking output of each team member in terms of quantity and quality
• Log sales and invoices maintain and clean and safe work environment
• Communicate and collaborate with the management team
