Job Description

Applebee's is looking for a Mixologist to join our team. The Mixologist is responsible for creating strong guest relationships and making the guest feel like a VIP. Specific responsibilities of the Mixologist include:

Greet guests with a genuine smile, build rapport, and ensure an enjoyable, quality bar experience

Look for visual and verbal cues to identify the experience the guest wants and customize the service to meet those expectations

Promptly and accurately take food and beverage requests from guests

Ensure expedient service of food and beverages to the guest

Learn menu and beverages and recommend and upsell items

Accurately ring all orders into the POS system while simultaneously interacting with guests when applicable

Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for bar guests (cocktails, beer, wine, etc.)

Assess guests’ needs and preferences and make recommendations

Comply with all food and beverage regulations

Responsibilities

• Requirements:
• High school diploma preferred (or equivalent)
• Excellent customer service skills
• Energetic and positive demeanor
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Knowledgeable about the company's menu and customer-related policies
• Previous experience as a restaurant mixologist, bartender, bar-back, server, waiter/waitress, runner, front of house, or other FOH restaurant job will be helpful to being successful at this job.
