Job Description
The Pastry chef $18-22/hr will be responsible for overseeing daily operations of the pastry department and coaching staff on a wide variety of techniques and skills. Your skill in baking should be matched by your creativity to innovate and create new product offerings. Must also be willing to work Pantry area.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain quality of all product and presentation
- Oversee all aspects of the daily operation of pastry production areas
- Receive, check and properly store all incoming product
- Know and comply with all sanitation standards
- Schedule pastry and bread production based on business needs and communicate to staff
- Prepare reports as needed - including payroll and scheduling
- Review vendor pricing structures and adjust product as needed
- Operate, teach and supervise safe operation of all appliances and equipment
- Handle conflict resolution of guests and staff as needed
