As the barista, you will skillfully craft the perfect beverage with consistency. With a wide range of beverage offerings, attention to detail and working quickly & accurately will help ensure your success. You'll also be responsible for keeping your station and the larger establishment clean and stocked. Being a barista offers you a community of passionate coffee lovers and frequent opportunities for continued learning.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers
- Prepare and serve hot/cold beverages
- Share knowledge and suggest menu items to customers
- Clean or sanitize work areas, utensils, or equipment
- Check temperatures of freezers, refrigerators, or heating equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Receive and process payments
- Prepare foods such as muffins, pastries, bagels, etc.

When the first Rising Roll Gourmet Café opened in 1999 under the name “Uptown Gourmet” the focus was on quality and variety, serving only lunch and lunch catering. Over the years, we have taken our 100 year old family recipes, blended them with chef driven cutting edge new flavor profiles and created a large variety of dining options, while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction. As the popularity of our brand grew, emphasis was placed on expanding the company through a franchising growth strategy and we now have retail and nontraditional locations in a number of states with sites in Class A high rise buildings, hospital buildings, and on multiple university campuses.
