Job Description

The bartender is responsible for delivering exceptional hospitality through high-quality beverage preparation, engaging guest interaction, and efficient bar operations. This role plays a key part in creating a welcoming and energetic atmosphere, while ensuring consistency, cleanliness, and attention to detail behind the bar.

Bartenders are expected to balance craft and speed, maintain strong product knowledge, and support both bar guests and the dining room service team. The ideal candidate is personable, organized, team oriented, and committed to upholding Coast’s standard of service and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• provide warm, engaging hospitality to bar guests while creating a warm atmosphere
• prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages consistently according to recipes
• demonstrate strong knowledge of cocktails, wine, beer, spirits, and current features
• maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout service
• accurately ring in orders and process payments through the POS system
• monitor guest consumption and follow responsible alcohol service standards
• communicate clearly with servers and kitchen to support smooth service flow
• maintain bar prep, including batching, garnishes, glassware, and restocking
• complete opening, running, and closing side work as assigned
• contribute to a positive team environment and assist with service needs throughout the restaurant
