Job Description

As bartender, you’ll be crafting delicious cocktails while engaging with guests to provide memorable experiences. You should find enjoyment in creating new and innovative cocktails, enhancing flavor profiles and pairing food and drinks. You will be successful if you're welcoming and personable and always seeking ways to exceed patrons' needs and expectations. As a bartender you'll have a responsibility to our patrons and their safety and must have proper certification and a thorough understanding of current laws.

Responsibilities

• Essential Functions
• Ability to move mobile bar fronts to various locations on property for events
• Stock bar with required alcohol, glassware, ice, and supplies
• Effectively serve a full bar to guests in a quick, professional, accurate, and positive manner
• Ability to effectively communicate in order to perform and follow job requirements in written and spoken direction
• Ability to multitask calmly and effectively in a busy, stressful environment
• Work in a confined, crowded space of variable noise and temperature levels
• Able to move and lift up to 10 pounds, frequently move and/or lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally move and/or lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift and move safely through all areas of the venue, which may include uneven or slick surfaces
• Provide teardown according to venue policies which include cleaning of bars, prep areas and supplies, and maintaining daily inventory
• Key Responsibilities and Duties
• Ensure the overall guest experience exceeds expectations and anticipate guests’ needs
• Greet guests with a warm, sincere smile
• Use tact and good judgement when dealing with guest challenges and respond to guest needs with patience and courtesy
• Ability to recognize an intoxicated guest, refuse to overserve guests and seek out management with any concerns about a guest that appears intoxicated
• Follow all steps of service
• Proficiency in the use and operation of all necessary tools and equipment
• Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures
• Follow all rules, policies, procedures and conditions of employment
• Get along well with others and be a team player
• Other duties will be assigned as needed
• Requirements:
• At least two years of bartending experience
• Current TABC certification
• Extensive knowledge of beer, wine, liquor, and cocktail creation
• Experience in catering and events is preferred
• A reference from a supervisor in the bar or event industry
• Availability to work a variety of shifts, mostly on the weekends
• Open-mindlessness, flexibility and resourcefulness
• Punctuality is an absolute MUST - lateness will not be tolerated
• No Felonies
• Clean Driving Record and has own vehicle
• Can work independently as well as on a team
• Works efficiently and can follow directions
• Is open minded and empathetic.
• Likes to have fun and possesses a great attitude
