Job Description
A new restaurant in Mansfield combines Texas' two most popular cuisines. Del Toro BBQ is a novel new concept from the Local Favorite Restaurants group (El Fenix, Meso Maya) which combines Mexican and BBQ food in one convenient location.
Your job as busser/food runner will be a blend of hospitality and operations. Aside from clearing off and wiping down tables, you'll often be responsible for making sure the front of the house is neat and orderly, restocking items, and making sure guests have a high-quality dining experience by serving their food in a timely and accurate manner. The most important aspect of your work is to provide quick and friendly service to ensure guests will return.
Responsibilities
- Job Responsibilities:
- Bus, clean, sanitize, and set tables throughout the shift, ensuring Guests are seated in a timely fashion.
- Restock utensils, napkins, and assist with other dining room needs.
- Maintains FOH floors during shift to maintain cleanliness and prevent safety issues for Guests and Team Members.
- Performs shift change and/or opening or closing duties, including but not limited to sweeping floors, cleaning restrooms, parking lot cleaning and emptying trash.
- Provides genuine hospitality with a smile.
- Delivers food to Guests table.
- Maintains a great attitude with focus on Guest satisfactions.
- Assists in restocking glassware, plate ware, ice, and other service-related items as necessary.
- Commitment to deliver a unique and memorable Guest experience while providing attentive service tending to duties in a timely fashion.
- Yields right of way to Guests when passing in the restaurant.
- Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all local, state, and federal safety laws as well as Company safety policies.
- Report any unsafe working conditions or problems to Management.
- Ensure safe food handling and general restaurant safety for Guests and Team Members.
- Qualifications:
- Must be a certified Food Handler in respective state.
- Must be able to work in hot, wet, humid, and loud environments for long periods of time.
- Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
- Must be able to safely lift bags, cases, and stacks (up to 40 pounds) many times per shift.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be at least 17 years of age.
- Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with fellow Team Members.
- Possess the ability to maintain effective working relationships with all Team Members.
