Job Description
Everyone within Fareground is an important part of what we do here- each person a key piece in this machine. To keep it going, we rely on our Porters (bussers) for a bit of everything to keep our business running cleanly and smoothly. Like custodians and janitors, Fareground porters work to make sure that our space is neat, clean, free from clutter and safe, but also have an eye for safety maintenance. Our Porters tackle the following, and are not limited to:
Responsibilities
- Sharpen and adjust cutting equipment
- Receive, inspect, and store meat upon delivery
- Cut, bone, or grind pieces of meat
- Weigh, wrap, label and store cuts of meat
- Know and comply with proper storage standards
- Participate in product rotation, inventory, waste management and ordering of product
- Clean equipment and work areas according to sanitation standards
