Job Description

The Pastry chef will be responsible for overseeing daily operations of the pastry department and coaching staff on a wide variety of techniques and skills. Your skill in baking should be matched by your creativity to innovate and create new product offerings.


-Monitor and maintain quality of all product and presentation

-Oversee all aspects of the daily operation of pastry production areas

-Receive, check and properly store all incoming product

-Know and comply with all sanitation standards

-Schedule pastry and bread production based on business needs and communicate to staff

-Prepare reports as needed - including payroll and scheduling

-Review vendor pricing structures and adjust product as needed

-Operate, teach and supervise safe operation of all appliances and equipment

-Handle conflict resolution of guests and staff as needed
