Job Description

As the chef, you’ll take complete responsibility for every plate that gets served and the overall direction of the menu. You’ll be expected to innovate and iterate on the menu to provide creative, quality food while meeting profit goals. You will be responsible for hiring and supervising the kitchen staff and coaching employees on consistency, technique and skills.

Responsibilities

  • Create menus
  • Direct the food prep process
  • Plan & order ingredients and necessary equipment
  • Arrange for kitchen repairs when needed
  • Use P&L statements to effectively manage costs and meet budgets
  • Hire, manage, and train kitchen staff
  • Oversee kitchen staff, looking for opportunities to counsel or coach
  • Foster cooperation, collaboration and respect
  • Have knowledge of and enforce all safety and sanitation requirements

WILL BE INTERVIEWING IMMEDIATELY FOR COOKS:

Head Cook responsibilities: Lead cook for amazing food following Ketos recipes, maintain quality and company brand, ensure staff follows health and safety procautions while working, ensure kitchen stays clean (be a team player), product inventory, assign responsibilities to other cooks and line prep, and lead a respectful kitchen culture.

Cook/Sous chef responsibilities: Ensure company recipes are followed, cook under the instructions of the head cook, maintain clean station throughout shift, wash cooking supplies as needed, and package food for deliveries.
