Job Description
As the chef, you’ll take complete responsibility for every plate that gets served and the overall direction of the menu. You’ll be expected to innovate and iterate on the menu to provide creative, quality food while meeting profit goals. You will be responsible for hiring and supervising the kitchen staff and coaching employees on consistency, technique and skills.
Responsibilities
- Create menus
- Direct the food prep process
- Plan & order ingredients and necessary equipment
- Arrange for kitchen repairs when needed
- Use P&L statements to effectively manage costs and meet budgets
- Hire, manage, and train kitchen staff
- Oversee kitchen staff, looking for opportunities to counsel or coach
- Foster cooperation, collaboration and respect
- Have knowledge of and enforce all safety and sanitation requirements
- To attend catering events

In the 1990s, two sisters catering’s operation had grown to the point where it’s cooking demands could no longer be served by her kitchen so the company moved into its first commercial cooking facility, just outside downtown Dallas. growth required them to move once again in 1999 to the current facility on Gaston avenue between Baylor medical center and downtown Dallas. The Gaston facility also includes the second two sisters to-go location—offering casual lunches in addition to “take home” meals. the first two sisters to-go opened in 1996 on Monticello ave. east of highland park.
Today, two sisters catering offers everything from box lunches to grand galas.
