Job Description
As a Line or Prep cook, you'll set up your station and participate in prep. You should be passionate about putting out consistent, quality food and seeking opportunities to learn and grow in the kitchen. You should be able to follow recipes and take direction from the Chef or Sous Chef and also explore your creativity where appropriate. You welcome the fast, often hectic pace of the kitchen and are above all a team player.
Responsibilities
- Cook food in a variety of ways
- Prepare ingredients
- Possess a solid sense of timing
- Set up workstations with ingredients and cooking equipment
- Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
- Monitor stock and place orders for shortages

Furious Spoon is a fast casual Tokyo-style Japanese ramen noodle bar. It is currently open in the Wicker Park, Logan Square, Downtown Loop, Pilsen, and Lakeview neighborhoods in Chicago. By the end of 2019, we will also open ramen bars in Evanston.
Furious Spoon is similar to the traditional ramen noodle shops in Tokyo, Japan. It is establishing itself as the best ramen brand in the U.S. Currently, there is no national fast casual ramen brand. Furious is aspiring to fill that gap and become the premier fast casual national ramen brand with plans to expand other parts of the U.S. aside from Chicago.
