Job Description
As a dishwasher, you will be responsible for cleaning all prep equipment, silverware, glassware and dishes according to sanitation requirements. You'll be responsible for keeping the dish pit orgranized and assist the kitchen in keeping the line and prep areas organized and clean. Your pace is critical to turning tables, so a strong work ethic is key to success.
Responsibilities
- Operate dishwasher
- Look out for and report repair needs
- Wash glassware by hand when necessary
- Empty and clean trash and recycling bins
- Rotate dishes
- Clean dish storage
- Assist kitchen staff as needed

Our story is a simple one ya’ll.
What happens when a country girl from Texas (raised on her daddy’s farm growing fresh vegetables that they picked and sold on the side of the road) meets a small-town guy from Louisiana (who spent his childhood watching his momma in the kitchen lovingly preparing her favorite southern dishes)? Well - we call it down home magic.
Fast forward 25 years and thousands of shared meals later and we decided to expand our relationship beyond life partners to become business partners. Our shared love of down home cooking represented the best path to entrepreneurship for us.
We opened the doors (and our hearts) to Ya’ll Down Cafe and to the Manor community on January 29, 2015. In September of 2016, we simplified our name to Y'all's Cafe. My name is Geoff and my Mrs. is named Sharon and we can’t wait for you to come see us for some good ol’ fashioned down-home Louisiana inspired goodness!
