Come join Cracker Barrel - Flat Rock as a full time or part time Food Prep team member in Flat Rock, NC, where you will be passionately preparing, portioning, and cooking food items to our quality specifications. As a Food Prep, you will be committed to safe food handling, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards during your shift and preparing food with proper safety equipment, tools, and recipe specs. You'll help to provide each customer with an amazing dining experience in the restaurant, through your passion and commitment to putting out quality food at its best.

The Food Prep position is also responsible for:

-Following established food safety guidelines, recipes, standards, and procedures

-Maintaining a clean and food-safe environment

-Preparing, portioning, and/or cooking food items to quality specifications

-Assessing ingredients and items for freshness and quality, rotating product appropriately

• Qualifications:
• Be able to communicate with co-workers and managers effectively
• Stand for long periods of time
• Reach and lift overhead up to 25 pounds
• Work in hot and cold temperature extremes subject to fluctuations for long periods of time.
• Work in environment where smoke, fumes, steam, and other airborne particles are present
• Work around, handle, operate, and control hot equipment and products in a safe manner
• Work at a pace consistent with changing business volume and demands
• Ability to learn quickly
• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed
