Job Description

As host, you'll be the conductor of the orchestra that is service. You are the first impression of the restaurant and set the tone for guests' experiences. You will answer phones, take reservations, and be responsible for seating guests according to server availability. Your attention to detail and communication are critically important. You are also the last note of the experience, and will wish guests farewell and invite them to come back.

Shreveport’s very own rising star has selected HOUSTON as her center stage to astound foodies near and far with her palatable passion. At a very young age Chef J learned every joyful occasion can be enhanced with a good meal. She began cooking independently at just 9 years old and fondly remembers her very first plat du jour; smothered pork chops in a delectable gravy, fluffy white rice, and seasoned green beans. As a dutiful wife and mother she continued to express her artistry by following her now veteran husband to numerous military bases from Heidelberg, Germany to Fort Hood, Texas. There she provided comforting and unpretentious plates of deliciousness to our heroes in combat boots who were miles away from their own hometowns.

A dedicated chef, her passion for creating superior fare with fresh local ingredients was never lost. Often she would have local Shreveport elements shipped to her distant kitchen in order to preserve her unique flair within each bite. Chef J has also traveled nationally and internationally alongside her brother Chef Wil and family cultivating unique recipes, learning regional techniques, and bringing it all back to their stomping grounds.
