Job Description

As host, you'll be the conductor of the orchestra that is service. You are the first impression of the restaurant and set the tone for guests' experiences. You will answer phones, take reservations, and be responsible for seating guests according to server availability. Your attention to detail and communication are critically important. You are also the last note of the experience, and will wish guests farewell and invite them to come back.

Responsibilities

  • Warmly greeting guests upon arrival and setting a positive tone for their visit.
  • Managing reservations and walk-ins, including waitlists during peak hours.
  • Seating guests strategically, balancing bar and dining room availability.
  • Answering phone calls and providing accurate information about hours, menu, and special events.
  • Coordinating with bartenders and servers to ensure smooth guest transitions and service.
  • Monitoring guest satisfaction and promptly addressing concerns or requests.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization at the host stand and bar entrance.
