Students Welcome!
As host, you are the first impression of the restaurant and set the tone for guests' experiences.
You should have the ability to build rapport with our guests, identify and fulfill guests' needs/special requests and work collaboratively with fellow team members. Your attention to detail, friendly demeanor, and communication skills are critically important.
Quality experience at an upscale restaurant is a must to succeed in this role. Experience with OpenTable is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests, escorts them to their table and presents menus
- Take reservations via phone, in-person, or OpenTable
- Communicates all customer requests/special occasions to the appropriate server and/or manager on duty
- Walk through dining rooms, entryway and bathrooms to ensure they are kept clean throughout operations
- Perform opening and closing duties as needed
