Job Description

Denny's Boiling Springs is looking for a Restaurant Cook to join our team in Boiling Springs, SC. This position is full time or part time. The restaurant cook is responsible for food preparation that meets or exceeds hospitality and service standards and must be able to prepare all foods to meet quantity and deadline requirements. As a restaurant cook at Denny's Boiling Springs you will prepare food items according to the menu, recipes, and special dietary or nutritional restrictions. You will also determine food and supplies needed to keep the kitchen running and stocked during service. Cooks make sure that proper health procedures are followed. You should maintain or exceed standards of appearance, cleanliness, hygiene, and health. Previous cook, line cook, prep cook, sous chef or other back of house (BOH) experience is beneficial. High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not mandatory. Food Handlers certification or willingness to obtain. Most importantly, a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn will help you go far at Denny's Boiling Springs.

Responsibilities

• A Denny’s Cook has a “Guests First" attitude, preparing food to set recipes following brand standards for proper food temperature and presents it on a great looking plate, all while maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment. Cooks also:
• Honors guest requests for special orders.
• Correctly calls the wheel.
• Cleans, completes side work, and organizes supplies as required.
• Monitors waste and other food cost controls.
• Willingly assisting other team members without being asked.
• Provides total guest satisfaction.
• Position requirements:
• 18 years of age or over.
• At least 1 year of previous full-service professional line cook experience.
