About Power House Cafe
The original Power House was a small hutch restaurant with 10 bar stools and two small tables started in 1970 by two cross-country runners. This Mediterranean café was the first to sell smoothies in Winter Park, Florida. In 1998, Chris Bassil acquired the restaurant, changed the name to the Power House Café, and expanded the building and menu to better serve customers. Six months later, the New York Times recognized us as one of the best places to eat in Winter Park.
