THE SPARK
What started as a premium quality burger sold in a grocery store in Cleveland, Mississippi in 1987 quickly caught fire. Lattimore “Lattie” Michael realized he had a recipe for success and thus opened the first Back Yard Burgers drive-thru restaurant. Customers flocked to it, eating up the fresh-grilled burgers, great conversation and the neighborly feel that reminded them of their backyard cookouts. A year later, Back Yard Burgers opened up in Tennessee and Florida. And the rest is delicious history.
THE GOODS
Since day one, we knew our burgers had to be unique. Our bold, flame-grilled, 100% Black Angus 1/3 lb. beef burgers answer the call every time – made just like they are in the good ole backyard. We top them with fresh slices of red onion, tomato, pickles and lettuce and whatever else you’re craving. In case you didn’t know, our burgers go well with anything, especially a side of seasoned fries, a milkshake and catching up with friends. And even though our burgers are legendary, we also grill some mean chicken sandwiches and hot dogs, as well as create a tasty salad or two, ensuring everyone gets exactly what they’re in the mood for.
