Catherine Simon was born and raised in Lake Charles, LA. She's a Master Educator who has always had a passion for cooking. She's been cooking for forty plus years, but decided to hone in and perfect her craft in preparation for launching "Soulfood by Catherine" 5 years ago. As a young lady, one of the first dishes she learned to prepare for her family was Gumbo (Louisiana Style)...because she was such a finicky eater. Well that was just the beginning! She now can prepare a wide range of dishes, "Soul food "just happens to be her specialty. She consistently displays her detail instincts from being an Educator for 35 years into every menu item.
