In operation since 2007, The Gnarly Gar, a floating restaurant, bar, ship store, fuel dock and live music venue located in Point Venture, is the premier entertainment destination on Lake Travis.

Owner and operator Todd Hynes and his family have weathered some storms since The Gnarly Gar’s inception. Two floods, a historic Texas drought and even a tornado couldn’t stop them from providing the Lake Travis community with an upbeat, family-friendly environment that many neighbors and thousands of tourists count on when they want to unwind and have a great time. Todd attributes a large portion of The Gar’s success to the management and staff who have become family over the years.

With a newly renovated facility, The Gnarly Gar offers both indoor and outdoor seating in addition to a second level. The Gnarly Gar’s second level boasts a 180-degree view of beautiful Lake Travis and the hill country.
